Of course, it was the eleventh hour when I called and tried to make an evening reservation on Valentine’s Day. And, of course, like everyone else they were completely booked but they did call me back and I was so happy that they could squeeze us in. We enjoyed the best meal we could have hoped for. The house red (forget the varietal) was so perfectly pared with the shrimp appetizer, Gamberi Di Amaretto. And the chardonnay was lovely with the escargots. Our entrees were equally delicious and in spite of the fact that it was a very busy evening for Napoli’s, the food arrived at our table fresh and hot and the service was perfect. Water glasses were always topped up and we were never left unattended for long. The servers were very friendly and approachable and it all made for a fantastic dining experience. We also didn’t feel over-crowded in this ‘full-to-capacity’ restaurant. Our table provided plenty of elbow room and the table conversation was easy to hear in spite of people. We were very comfortable and happy to be enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. We can’t wait to have dinner at Napoli’s again. Read more

An out of the way little house that looks like a local take out pizza joint. Walk in and there are a few tables. Sit down and order and get some of the best Italian food I have had in Ottawa. Ask what the special is, you never know. We stared wit a sausage appetizer that is to die for, flavorful and spiced just right. There were 6 of us so we all ordered different things and tried each others. There was not a loser in the bunch. Skip the insalata, it is just greens on a plate. The veal picatta was outstanding and the pastas were great. Get the house wine, the night we were there it was a very good valpolicella. On Wednesdays Montana's has an "all you can eat beef rib night", its worth the trip and go there hungry. They have 2 choices of beef ribs "back" or "side" ribs, back ribs are more tender and have more meat on them. Its a fantastic meal and very delicious, I find myself dreaming of those ribs the rest of the week. Sadly they do not offer the same meal any other night of the week, its a one night only affair, the rest of the week they offer only a pork bone substitute for "Ribs" which is not at all like on rib night. Another annoying thing is you cannot switch rib type once you start so choose carefully. I know they have Rib night in several other Montana's restaurants in the Ottawa area on the same night but I don't know if it's chain wide, check with your local restaurant. I've had the pleasure of experiencing multiple sushi restaurants in Ottawa, but 168 Sushi in Merivale by far stands out from the rest in regards to the variety available and quality of taste. My fiance and I recommend this location to our friends and family, as well as taking advantage of their fast and effective delivery service. The buffet at both lunch and dinner is reasonably priced and it is very easy to get your money's worth out of the food. Personal Highlights: -Miso Soup -Curry Chicken -Mango and Crab Rolls -Pork Dumplings -Salmon Roses The restaurant feels more like a night-club than a sushi buffet, but I have grown attached to the overall atmosphere. The service sometimes forgets to bring an item on the card you fill out once in a while, I recommend filling out one card per table for everyone instead of having each person fill out their own card at the same table to make it easier for the chefs (which you get to watch prep the food).
