We had dinner tonight at the brand new Maru Sushi, located in Garrison Crossing. Maru Sushi has stylish decor and the atmosphere is inviting. We found that the service was prompt and friendly.
The food was fresh, tasty, and very nicely presented. I can highly recommend the Garrison roll, which is a shrimp tempura roll topped with spicy tuna. Yum!

Like many places in Harrison, Kitami suffers from staffing problems, and so the owner often works the entire room by herself, with a bit of help from kitchen staff who come out when she is overwhelmed. If you can take a chance on timing, though, it is well worth the wait.
Their sushi is excellent, both in quality and variety. The cooked foods are also very good. We love the sweet potato tempura. Quantities are good and prices not too bad, so this is good value.

Literally the best. Personally, I think the charge to have fish eggs put on dynamite rolls is a bit pricey however the service is great, the food is amazing, and overall they're prices are pretty reasonable.

To start, the decor of the entire restaurant is very relaxing and welcoming. Was greeted verbally and with a friendly smile as soon as I had entered, and was not kept waiting for service. The sushi I ordered wasn't anything fancy (was one California roll and a Dragon roll) but both were made swiftly, didn't cost much money and in the end looked and tasted amazing. This is the first sushi restaurant I've tried in Abbotsford and as of now the only one. Only after a couple of visits I was recognized and they remembered my usual order. The quality of the food is very good, the service is awesome, the people there are very polite and friendly. It never takes them long to prepare the order and all ingredients are always fresh. The rolls are big, have usually more pieces than stated in the menu and sold to a very fair price. Without a doubt, this is my new favourite sushi place!
