I was very impressed with this restaurant...the service was great and the food was even better. The atomosphere was very relaxing and inviting. I loved the pictures on the main wall...was an excellent personal touch! I can't wait to go back and try something different!
I was very impressed with Ritorno. I loved my meals, especially the bruschetta topped with sausage (can't remember name). I sat at the bar as I was on my own, and was greeted by Julia and the manager. I felt like I was at home there. Decided to skip dessert but the waitress convinced me to try the mousse and I can't stop thinking about it now!
New restaurants always need a little time to find the right staff and to iron out all the kinks- I think they are doing a fantastic job.
With my italian heritage I didn't expect as good as mom makes but to my surprise it was!!! Great food the second time we went as well the seafood risoto was to die for. I have to admit the home-made tiramisu was as good as Zia Maria's. Did I mention the portion size. All of us had Lunch the next day too. Pleasure all round from the service to the the atmosphere and ease of parking. It is new and there were a few hiccups but they were rectified straight away and from someone whose family is in the restaurant business you have to give a new place a couple of months to sort out the hitches. Looking forward to the next visit
Finally....a decent restaurant in Noth Oakville! I've been living up that way for 20+ years and all there's ever been is chain this and chain that! I had a fantastic time, the food was outstanding....I'm not Italian by any means, but as far as I could tell it was authentic.....I know that Julia has another restaurant downtown and I've been a couple of times and enjoyed myself, but can't really deal with the parking situation in Downtown Oakville so I don't make my way there too often. Kudos to all, I will certainly be back!
